KeliBar Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

KeliBase ("we", "us") builds KeliBar, a free-shipping progress bar for Shopify stores. This policy explains what information KeliBar collects and how it is used. KeliBar is free forever and contains no advertising, no analytics, and no customer tracking.

1. Information we collect

About your shop (provided by Shopify when you install the app). When you install KeliBar, Shopify shares basic shop information with the app so it can function — such as your shop's domain, shop name, contact email, plan type, currency, and locale.

Your bar configuration. Settings you save in the KeliBar admin (threshold, messages, colors, placement, and similar options) are stored as shop metafields and mirrored in our database so the app can load them quickly.

Session data. To keep you signed in to the embedded app admin, we store Shopify session tokens. These are kept server-side and never exposed on the storefront.

2. What we do NOT collect

  • No shopper personal data. KeliBar does not collect, store, or transmit any information about your store's visitors or customers — no names, emails, addresses, or order details.
  • No tracking or analytics. The app does not track shoppers, set cookies on your storefront, or send browsing behavior anywhere.
  • No view counters in this version. KeliBar does not count or record bar impressions.

The progress bar reads the cart total directly in the shopper's browser to decide what to display. That number never leaves the browser. If a shopper dismisses the bar with the close button, that choice is remembered only in their own browser tab (session storage) and is never sent to us.

3. How we use the information

We use the shop and configuration data solely to:

  • operate KeliBar and render the bar on your storefront according to your settings;
  • keep you signed in to the app admin;
  • respond when you contact support.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing. The app runs on infrastructure we operate: Shopify (the platform), Vercel (hosting), and Neon (database). These providers process data only as needed to run the service.

4. Data retention and deletion

We keep your shop's configuration only for as long as the app is installed.

  • Uninstall: when you uninstall KeliBar, Shopify notifies us and we delete your shop's stored configuration and session data.
  • GDPR requests: we honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. If we receive a customers/data_request, customers/redact, or shop/redact webhook for your shop, we respond within the required timeframe. (There is no customer data to redact — see §2 — but the process is in place.)
  • Manual requests: email support@kelibase.com and we will confirm deletion.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect stored data, including secure session handling and access-limited infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the footprint small on purpose: the less we store, the less there is to protect.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change how KeliBar handles data — for example, when new features are added — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.

7. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data: support@kelibase.com. We reply within 24 hours.
